Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by [Vance, J. D.]

Lietta reading the book Hillbilly Elegy, relating to her own small town heritage and taking notes.

Then she got into a long texting conversation that lasted well into the evening with her Uncle Willard who lives on the Southeast Coast of the U.S. , that was sufficiently involved to cause us to drop the idea of a long walk or trip to KROC.

In the meantime I was back at work on the novel, Suffer the Children, well into the afternoon. Then did some prep work on the NIUU sermon scheduled for  next month.

For supper, we found a recipe for a keto hamburger/bacon casserole that turned out well despite my not draining the hamburger grease before adding heavy cream and a boatload of grated cheese.

We ate and watched the last three episodes of SILK season one … very satisfying.
